I confess...

Hello.

My name is Lexi.

And I have a Thickers addiction.

But I don't want a cure.

And I am developing an obsession with vintage ribbon...well most things vintage for that matter.

And I had Starbucks twice in one day...although a breakthrough did occur when I was offered it a third time and politely declined. (However if you drive-thru a local S'Bucks and ask for a "Lexi" they will, sadly, know what you are talking about...*sigh*)

When I got in the car this morning to go to church I was greeted by this sweet gesture...

It meant so much to me.

Friday was my cousin Natosha's 29th birthday--HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We grew up more like sisters and to this day remain close. This is us...at the zoo..1980-something. I made this layout a few months ago, but it's one of my favorites. I love the whole vintage look from the photo and tried to carry it over with the clusters of products...some of which *might* be in the August Freehand Scraps kit...

This time last week I was holding Paxton down while nurses tried to get an IV started.

Tonight he is sleeping in his own crib and dreaming of rocking horses and "ball balls", I'm sure.

What a difference a week makes. God Is GOOD!

Getting back to normal....

...at least as normal as it gets around here!

That hospital visit seems like a bad dream and I am SO THANKFUL we are on this end of it!

It's amazing-- I went from Cloud 10, to spending 4 days in the hospital with my baby, and then some happy news...

 

I was emailed from a team member of ScrapStreet.com magazine who saw a layout I had created in my gallery at 2Peas and asked if they could publish it in their September issue. Let me think on that....yes! So I was sent this snazzy image to put in place of the picture of my layout. Fun news to receive...much better than your baby has bilateral pneumonia :)

Hope to get crafty this week. Looking SO FORWARD to receiving my first Freehand Scraps kit!! 

HOME!

HOME is such a beautiful word.

And that is where we are tonight...in our own beds, with our own pillows.

But not before we thank the Lord for getting us through this past week.

Paxton is on the mend and I am so grateful for his sweet little trooper spirit.

Thank you for all the sweet emails, calls, texts, comments, Starbucks offers and Starbucks runs.

I have the absolute best friends.

Not Fun :(

I'm sitting here posting this from the hospital.
The pediatric unit to be exact.
Not fun.
Our 16 month old was admitted this past monday after a tough week and even tougher weekend. But we have high hopes to go home tomorrow sometime.
We appreciate any prayers you might want to send up on behalf of our little Paxton :)

     Happy Fourth of July to You

CLOUD TEN!

That's right.

I floated right on by cloud 9 and landed on 10.

I received an email this morning from Heidi Stork of Freehand Scraps...congratulating me on becoming 1 of 2 new design team members for her SUPER COOL monthly kit club! 

I am beyond thrilled and incredibly humbled.

Now go get yourself this month's kit and start scrapping :)
