the before

Next week begins a remodel of turning our John Deere room (room connected to the basement for driving in a lawnmower) into a craft/homeschool space.

I can.not.wait.

Right now that space houses tools and hunting gear. You know that storage space you have that is a mess. Uh huh. Kids, you might want to close your eyes...
Yikes.

The walls are strange...some are slated, some concrete, some unfinished. They will all get a few coats of white paint. The ceiling is open and I kinda like that. We're just going to black it all out, minus the silver tubes and pipes. Very industrial-esque. The flooring is white from Ikea. The double doors you see at the end will be replaced with glass french doors to let in lots of light. Speaking of lights, this one is on my Christmas list. The whole look of the room is very white so that punch of color would be fun. Santa, I hope you are reading this.

I plan to post pictures of the progress, which might be a huge bore to most people, but I love seeing people's scrap spaces. I also love seeing spaces transformed and, fingers crossed, this should be a great transformation.

Now to finish clearing the rest of the junk out of that room. Cross your fingers for me!
