project life: week 2

I am really loving project life. It was something I was kinda interested in. When Two Peas asked me to do a video of completing a spread each month this year...I knew I had to get serious about it. I've even surprised myself by actually keeping up with it...at least so far.
{project life: week 2}
 Two things that have helped me: I only do one 12x12 side a week. I was afraid a double spread might be stressful and that is the last thing I wanted this project to be. When/if I want to include more photos or whatever I add an insert or a second page. The flexibility of that has made this a much simpler process.
I pull product and print photos before even sitting down. Because I use my stash and not a kit (although I am LOVING the Studio Calico Project Life kits and totally tempted), I would be too overwhelmed if I tried to analyze every potential product I had with every insert.
{the typewriter was having double vision issues}
The other thing that has helped is having a printer that I can wirelessly print iphone pics from. My project life has so far only consisted of phone photos. I am totally okay with that. My little selphy printer is a workhorse and I can print them all at once right from my phone as I am getting supplies for that spread together or print them one at a time during the week and save them for when I am ready.
If you are interested in watching project life spreads come together from start to finish you can see my latest video that went up on Two Peas here. It's my week 4. I will warn you...I'm not an organized scrapbooker or project lifer ;) In fact, I randomly mention my meowing cat in the latest video and have a habit of sticking alpha stickers on my thumb. And burying my paper trimmer.
My first project life video can be seen here.
We've been enjoying a Saturday of sweetarts and spiral art. I even got a love note :)
Aren't love notes from little people the best?
Enjoy your day!

  1. Lexi I really love how you kept your page relatively simple but it doesn't look plain AT ALL. So fantastic!! Love it!
