a layout & project life

Anyone recovering from this weekend's national scrapbook day? I actually didn't have a chance to scrap, but cleaned out my closet instead. Don't be jealous.

This layout went up over the weekend for the festivities at Two Peas.
I had fun playing around with the elongated hexagon wood veneer shapes from Studio Calico. Paired with washi and stamps I think it gives them a new look.

I also had a new project life video go live. It was a fun week to put together and I added the challenge of working with some clear accents.

Confession: I am behind on project life. Confession #2: I am okay with it. I started project life with the real idea that I would probably fall behind. You know what? It is a-okay. The weeks I do document are more than I would be getting down if I hadn't even started at all. I do plan to go back and get the weeks I'm missing...probably in a more simple way, but I am enjoying the project and the process regardless. I hope this encourages you if you are behind to not give up!

  1. LOVE these! Love how you've added washi tape to the bottom of the elongated hexes...I am SO going to have to lift that idea!!

  2. I don't know if I've ever comment on your blog. Mostly just stalk :) I love following your PL and your videos. (and your boys :) I looked in your spread for where you used the white washi. I don't really "get" how one would use it so I looked over your spread but don't see it. Maybe it's more 'useful' to write/draw/stamp on. Is it a true white or closer to masking tape?

    1. Hey Jill :)
It's on the lower right side by the circle strip of paper. I typed my journaling on it. It's actually almost transparent, not like masking tape (if that makes sense).

    2. Been away from my bloggers for a bit. I see it now and it sure is close to invisible!
