Homemade

We visited with a dear friend last night that just gave birth to a precious little baby boy. Made me marvel at how tiny they are at first! My boys seemed like giants! Reminded me of the last picture I have of myself pregnant:

Here I am, the day before giving birth to Paxton.

All supplies are American Crafts. I don't think that when they put "homemade" in the thicker accent sheet it was referring to sweet babies, but then I thought...my sweet little bun in the oven. Homemade ;)

Looking forward to a week of preparing for preschool which requires the ordering of the perfect backpack. Aven has his eyes on this:

I'm sure little girls are awesome, but I just LOVE having boys!! :)

Did you know?

Did you know that yesterday was National Ice Cream Day? Who were we not to celebrate?

Did you that American Crafts makes awesome adhesives? And did you know they have weekly challenges on their blog?

Well they do.

I am quite the fan of their dot glue runner and foam tabs & dots. I combined some of the Heat Wave collection and sparkling buttons to create this layout reminding me of my oldest, the jumping fish :) Oh how he loves the water! I used dimension to pop up the beach ball and some strips of the subtitle.

Did you know you all are super sweet to leave comments about the paper pinwheel tutorial? And did you know I have a new layout posted over here?

Silly me...

..how is it the middle of June and I am just now showing my "Parasol" projects?

In any case, this kit was lovely...subtle shades mixed with brights and the cutest little embellishments!

A simple little layout featuring a pic Aven took. Loved this transparency with the grey flocking. The middle papers are kinda patchworked together.

For Aven's preschool teachers end of the year gift we got them beach bags filled with a water bottle, sunscreen and beach towel. I made these little tags to hang on the bags and wrote a thank you on the reverse side.

And finally, a card. "Sew" fun putting this one together ;)

Plus a woodgrain thermos, a cool $1 sheet and $1 deer cross stitch picture. A pretty cheap thrill if you ask me ;)

Hello Darling

I am loving the new October Afternoon lines.

LOVE.

I cut these ladies from The Thrift Shop line and added some pretty shoes, a brooch and a neat-o purse. Then I saw this sketch from Page Maps and decided to add the girls to a card instead of the layout I had planned.

Some more Thrift Shop line love and vintage sewing pattern ruffles across the top and they were good to go!

We have had a case of the sickies around here this weekend :(

I'm talking about February's kit from Freehand Scraps. Loved it. And could have done SO MUCH MORE except that I am still on the flip side of a wicked sinus infection. I will spare you the fun details. * I believe Heidi and Samantha saw enough ;)

I do own you a massive CHA post that will come sometime this week. Suffice to say, I was disappointed to be so sick on my trip, but NOT disappointed in the new products or my new friends :)
